Our Story.
José Lopez
Founder of Books of Hope
Our story at Books of Hope began in 2018 when founder Jose Lopez had the idea to collect books and donate them to children in hospitals as a way to teach children in schools about philanthropy. Since then, we have been working tirelessly to collect donations of new and gently used books, as well as raise funds to purchase new books. We have partnerships with schools and community organizations to collect donations and educate children about the importance of giving back to those in need.

To date, we have been able to make a significant impact, with over 15,000 book donations thanks to the support of hundreds of dedicated supporters. We have donated books to children in hospitals in 23 states, bringing hope and comfort to countless sick children and their families.

The hospitals we work with receive the books free of charge, and we ensure that every child in the hospital has the opportunity to choose a book that interests them. We believe that reading has the power to transport children out of their hospital rooms and provide them with a sense of normalcy during a difficult time.

If you would like to support our mission and help bring the joy of reading to children in hospitals, please consider donating by selecting the "Donate Now" button on the top of our site. We hope that through our work, we can bring hope and happiness to sick children and their families and inspire a love of reading in the next generation. Thank you for supporting Books of Hope.
